A long time skater with Slam Diego Derby, she draws on her background in science and business strategy to strengthen the organization and foster inclusivity. Her priority is creating welcoming spaces where athletes of all ages can connect, compete, and grow together. Angie Maciel
(Hedy LaScar)

Angie joined the league back in 2014. She was inspired to give roller derby a try after seeing the team skate in the San Diego Pride Parade. She's served in several league leadership positions over the years. Her professional experience as a medical device engineer has come in handy as someone with a passion for both problem-solving and clear documentation.

Besides her roles on the BOD and as an active skater, she is also heading up the 'Slam Diego Banked Track Restoration Society'. 

She is excited to work on this initiative that will focus on rebuilding our banked track while collaborating with local partners and the wider interleague derby community to preserve our history and promote the future of the sport.

Amy Storey
(Aces)

Amy serves as the CFO of Slam Diego Roller Derby, combining her love of spreadsheets with her love of hitting people on skates. A GIS Manager at NV5 with over 22 years of experience, she brings serious organizational and budgeting skills to the track and the boardroom. She’s also no stranger to nonprofit finances, having served as treasurer for her kids’ PTA, the Pony Club of America, and SoCal Derby. Amy has been playing roller derby since 2018 and is passionate about building a strong, sustainable league where skaters can thrive - on and off the track.

Corey Atkins

With over 6+ years serving on a BOD, Corey discovered her passion for sports leadership as a co-founder and inaugural president of San Diego Super Bloom. As Super Bloom heads into it's 5th season this year, she's excited to bring her experience to Slam Diego Roller Derby!

Sydney is a dedicated skater and the events lead for Slam Diego. With a blend of experience from DIY concerts, fundraising events and convention center event management, she brings over 5 years of experience to league events operations. Sydney is focused on executing unique, entertaining, and profitable bouts that support her league and celebrate its’ culture.

Kristy Bikadi
(Killer Groove)

Kristy brings years of business ownership, as well as her 15 years of leadership with Slam Diego, to her roll. She's excited to grow the league and continue to offer the best training available while fostering a safe community for all our skaters.
